My award-winning shot of downtown skyscrapers in a major city. Award is from the International Library of Photography. You can take 100 shots and not get the dramatic contrast of light, dark and of shapes as in this one. This photo was taken with film and in the darkroom I toned it with selenium which gives it that rich silver quality.
About Penelope Aiello
Being behind the camera has always given me so much pleasure. I am passionate for black and white dramatic, and unusual photos (more of which will be coming soon.) I try to take photos from unusual angles and add drama where I can. I love the interdisciplinary approach to photography - using light and motion in unusual ways. I love to break the rules. Capturing images is my passion and magic! I look for the unusual in ordinary situations to capture that moment in time. My extensive travels give me the opportunity to vary my subject matter.
